DJ Dan and DJ Mes – “I Got It”

I am reminded of the late 90’s and early 00’s with much of the disco house being produced at the moment.  I was happy to discover this little gem constructed by the ‘all powerful’ DJ Mes.  This American producer has done it more than many times, coupled with DJ Dan, another Guest House hero.  Don’t be fooled by the name DJ Dan although it sounds a bit like he belongs at the Hilton Metrople playing an xmas gig for ‘OLDA’ (Organised Local Drivers Association), luckily for us he is firmly where he should, be producing music on Guest House.

I like to describe the opening of this track as ‘chewy funk’ followed by a selection of horn stabs that the movie Brassed Off would be proud of.  We are then led further down the rabbit hole with the head turning, rotatory style breakdown that leaves us yearning for the horns all over again.  Sure enough, BOOM back into the breach; The electric juddery funk breach that is. May it consume your eyes, ears and your soul!
