Shane D – 4 tracks From…

I bought my first ‘Shane D’ track last year, a remix of Etta James, “Etta’s Jam”*.  Although that now famous sample has been used many many times before I loved the construction of the beats and the rolling chunky bass line.

‘Something’s Got A Hold of Me’  was sampled by  Avicii,  and Flo Rida in 2011 and as far back as Bachelors Of Science in 2005 plus many others.  But it was the scratchy disco high pitched guitar on Shane’s remix that really stood out for me.  If you take a closer look at Shane’s latest production you can clearly see a line of heritage from track to track, a bit like BMW’s earlier production models have similar traits through each new generation.
