When your clicking on websites and bloggs sometimes you will find advertisements at the foot of each post. Usually for links to other sites, often titled “Around The Web”, or very similar. Six or eights stacked neatly in box formation. I look at these adverts and pour scorn on each one. “Five reasons you will loose your man” Ha ha. “Six Pack in Six Minutes” lol “10 Worst celebrity feet” How ridiculous. These are just terrible…..Until of course you spot something that may interest you. “Ten Muscle Cars you should own in your lifetime”….. Yes that’s it. HA HA. I love muscle cars, I will own them all! Manipulated! Manipulated so blatantly it is a window into the power of advertising. On the page in front of you are 5 examples of pointless fluff that you wouldn’t bat an eyelid at, even on a good day, then in the very same post, some more pointless fluff that has tapped into your deep dark desire. Massaging your serotonin like a strong man at the circus. Now, allow yourself to be manipulated once again by this wonderful music selection:
