Boogie Shoes

A selection of KC and the Sunshine band rmx’s of Boogie Shoes… When I was in Chepstow Comprehensive school Sixth Form, Wales, (1999) we traveled to Australia for a  rugby tour.  At one school we fought bravely on the pitch and afterwards we’re invited to watch a school performance.  Some of the players involved in the game were also budding actors, for some reason, (who can remember why?) The final scene involved all the cast taking to the stage and singing “Boogie Shoes” by KC and The Sunshine Band, the whole room stood up and began an impromptu dance.  Now until forever more I will associate this song with a cast of Australian school kids, including three Backs and one Prop Forward with an Afro bigger than Reggie Watts‘s hair.
