It’s a Thursday – Post day for Veryfunkyrecords.com.<\/p>\n

I was very lucky then to discover Gilbert Le Funk’s ‘Bay Breeze’. \u00a0This track has an orchestral epic sound that really has ephemeral stokes of genius – \u00a0I believe I Just found my favorite track of May so far – expect this on the radio show. \u00a0I didn’t realise however that is was released last year.<\/p>\n

The French man is a genius, Gilbert Le Funk has created a sound all of his own –<\/p>\n

When I first discovered ‘Le Funk’ I was truly\u00a0excited\u00a0by his name alone, and listened intently to one of his creations. \u00a0At first I was a little disappointed his name painted pictures of pure dance with disco tinges and hark’s back in time to MFSB<\/a>, Giorgio Moroder<\/a>, James Brown<\/a>!<\/p>\n

“Yes come on this track is gonna be massive I can feel it………Oooh, ooh right well that’s not what I expected.” \u00a0Brain speak aside and with hind site, age, experience I can see the vista more clearly. \u00a0He has created his own unique sound his is a true artist.<\/p>\n

I think I would like to describe it \u00a0as – D’l-Ectro Funk.- “Progressive Disco Electro Funk”. D’L-Ectro Funk. \u00a0Remember that name. \u00a0Like when Stuart Marconnie wrote in N.M.E the Iconic words ‘Britt Pop’ to describe the era with much focus on OASIS and Blur’s\u00a0rivalry, Pulp and all the rest.<\/p>\n

OK, reality check. \u00a0D’l-Ectro Funk or not my point is that this guy has developed a sound and used it as a traceable narrative through the majority of his music. \u00a0It doesn’t matter if it’s Bay Breeze from 2012 or any other Gilbert Le Funk track his subtle sound is a lesson to all aspiring dance music producers including me. Reality check No 2\u00a0progressive deep house is doing the rounds in the charts, Duke Dumont’s tracks is massive and if you haven’t seen the Hitler finds out about Deep House<\/a>\u00a0video\u00a0where have you been? \u00a0BTW if you speak German that video makes no sense.<\/p>\n
