Free downloads are always awesome. \u00a0“Free Music thank you very much random band whom up until now I had never heard of”. \u00a0It worked for the Artic Monkeys in the beginning and now look at em. \u00a0Kings of all they survey in the Indie rock world, what ever the hell is going on over their now. \u00a0To be honest, I\u00a0checked\u00a0out when I heard the band ‘Pigeon\u00a0Detectives’. \u00a0Not\u00a0because\u00a0I dislike there\u00a0repertoire\u00a0I just thought the name was fucking ridiculous.<\/p>\n

So from one stupid name to……’French Horn\u00a0Rebellion’. \u00a0Actually I like both names but think in the same sentence they are equally ridiculous.<\/p>\n

French Horn Rebellion has provided a ‘wobbly bendy slow shimmy’ around the shinny edges of \u00a0nu disco with this track posted below. \u00a0Simply entitled ‘Girls’. \u00a0The vocal goes ‘We do it for the girls’. \u00a0And I ask who doesn’t, everything red blooded males do in their lives, is based on….’Do I look cool, will girls think I’m Cool, will I make waves in the pussy pool’. \u00a0So ‘Girls’ does little to encapsulate that emotion but the lyrics are clear and free for you, or me to\u00a0interpret\u00a0them as we like. \u00a0The all encompassing slow drums form a\u00a0descending\u00a0rhythmic\u00a0pattern. \u00a0What drum pattern isn’t rhythmic? So the more I play this this afternoon I am more and more\u00a0inclined\u00a0to shake my head and tap my feet to the chirpy keyboards that underneath belays a fat bass line. \u00a0The rock solid foundation of any good disco track. \u00a0Finally ‘FHR’ have written a rap into Girls, presumable JD Samson or Fat Tony are responsible. Making Girls one of the most complete Nu Disco tunes of 2013.<\/p>\n
