Phil Everly passed away on 3rd January at the age of 74. \u00a0He was one half of the ‘The Everly Brothers’. \u00a0At the height of their popularity in the late 1950s and early 1960s, they scored 28 hits in the UK and were among the first 10 performers inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when it opened in 1986. \u00a0My memory of ‘The Everly Brothers’ began in the late eighties and early nineties travelling to France each year in the back of my fathers gold Montego<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0with \u00a0a caravan attached. \u00a0My sister and I we’re drip feed fifties and sixties classics and ‘The Everly Brothers’ tracks became a staple part of those summer journeys. \u00a0One thing they never played? \u00a0Disco…<\/p>\n
