{"id":176,"date":"2013-02-04T12:17:53","date_gmt":"2013-02-04T12:17:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.veryfunkyrecords.com\/?p=176"},"modified":"2013-04-28T20:10:27","modified_gmt":"2013-04-28T20:10:27","slug":"dj-mes-sonny-fodera-no-jet-lag","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.veryfunkyrecords.com\/?p=176","title":{"rendered":"DJ Mes, Sonny Fodera &#8211; No Jet Lag EP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was completely blown away by this track. \u00a0Becoming attracted to the little blighter while trawling through Traxsource on Saturday afternoon. \u00a0Never judge a book by it&#8217;s cover they say but in my opinion that holds little water when dance music is concerned. \u00a0The name jumped from the page &#8220;No Jet Lag&#8221; just standing there among the &#8220;I need you&#8221; and &#8220;Your Love&#8221;, how many times do we hear those.<\/p>\n<p>From the outset I felt the beats we uneventful and lacked conviction, they limp along until 45 seconds in, when it all becomes clear. \u00a0I was wrong the beats are perfectly constructed as the delightful rythmic slide guitar comes rolling over the top and the vocal rasps out of the side of the singer&#8217;s American accented voice. \u00a0The relaxed beats could be just at home in your room with a mountain of weed as opposed to the dance floor.<\/p>\n<p>So I searched DJ Mes, DJ Mes DJ Mes who is he?
